Overinflated self absorbed hyperboles could not properly explain how disinterested I am in this current election. Bar Julia Gillard whipping out the girls at a press conference and screaming “Wayyyyheyyy get a load of these coconuts!” or Tony Abbott admitting to liking a good spanking with a ladle and/or microwave door, I could not give a flaming possum trap.

That being said I will still def vote for the redhead tit flasher, I’d rather shag a car bomb than vote for that bigot Ab-dawg. But how booooooooooring is the campaign, I am astounded how stupid these campaigners think people are, that or we are tree swinging rednecks with empty muffin trays for brains who can’t remember 5 secs ago let alone 3 years. They keep saying the same old shit ‘blah blah Aussie battlers money something something , Climate change direction (LIE), humanitarian treatment of asylum seekers (DING DONG FAT BUGGERY LIE)’. They are swinging from whatever trapeze happens to be waved at them. Yes I am Bitter - party of one, ole K-RUDD's political impotence was rather disconcerting but the fact is after all this time, two regimes and soup spilling mouth farting - nothing has been done on anything. Abbott is just interested in keeping the rich rich and the poor and minorities marginlised, Gillard just wants power and a naughty weekend escape to the lodge with her man lover.

I am reminded of the fantastic scene in the movie Election were Tammy Metzler runs for Student body president and makes this speech. If anyone said that in a campaign I'd vote for them until i die from a drug fueled glam choking with a bedazzled belt. But instead I tune out the blah blah blah blah by dreaming of making a house out of toothpaste, dancing on stage with Bruce Springsteen and colour coding the granny smith apples at the supermarket. I will manage to drag my fancy ass out and vote, I will have to visit the embassy as I will be New York City……breath it in bitches….yes NEW YORK CITY. AS I am of the ilk that if you don’t vote, you can’t complain about the government cause you (NEW YORK CITY whhhheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!) did bugger all helping.

Admittedly voters want their leaders to be friggin superman, they have to get it all right and if they by some act of god they do, some old biddy in the sticks has the grumps cause her cat was awoken by the loud hedge next door. Look at Obama, what the hell do Americans want. He has done a lot in his term : economic disaster and massive global depression averted (we were THIIIS close people!), START Treaty resurrected, Health Reform, sensible war policy and a major reduction in out breaks of americaassholeitis! But people got their knickers in a twist that Obama didn’t rip off his suit, clench a knife in his teeth and swim to the bottom of the Gulf and plug that darn leak himself. God just tie him up and burn him, what a jerk.

Naked and wet Obama aside, If I could get Gillard to come here and have a cuddle and a chat. I would say “LADY! I will vote for you but please can this time something end up happening!, instead of this vaudevillian side show we call policy. It’s pretty easy… people are simple, they want low taxes, not to be old and lonely, pretty nature stuff, no apocalypse and an occasional fart on a playground swing in summer.

Same Sex Marriage. Same Old Excuses.

Well, Julia is apparently not down with the gays being able to walk over any thresholds legally which is very disappointing. On the Kyle and Jackie O Show (of all places!) our Lady PM stubbed out any hopes that Jules' rapid ascension would herald a time of societal reason. But it seems that her party and personal views are against any amendments to the marriage laws, which is strange due to her lack of religious leanings would give her a platform for representing a community which seems to get the back end of the pool cue by the government more than often .

Man, this is a fart in a birthday cake for me which has popped the happy balloon I was blowing up for Ms Gillard. Not that I am within a trillion light years of a marriage proposal nor feel like i will ever be, but this is about more than ourselves, it's about moving forward as a community and in the rights for all, no matter who they wish to Boof, Pash or Marry. It is worth mentioning that in 2009 it was shown 60% of Australian's are FOR gay marriage, so how can Gillard or any politician for that matter site the 'communities' opinion as a reason to constantly avoid it.

Yes, Rudd revised constrictive wording in laws regarding superannuation, taxes and insurance to name a view to give same sex couples the same rights as their 'straight' counterparts. But we sit of the edge of a massive reform that would make Australia a progressive state once again, but no one has the guts to take the step and if an atheist female prime minister can't summon her lead balls to make this leap then I despair it may never be a reality anytime soon . I feel a protest vote for the Greens rising in the back of my throat.

Golly Australia you can surprise the minx outta me when I least expect it. Just when I though the country was going to swing into the scaly claws of Tony Abbott, you hiff out KRudd with last week’s porno and bring in Julia Gillard. I had read grumblings about change and had thought how cool it would be to have a female PM, but I parked that in ‘what if’ land along with my dreams of having a pink pony. But whambang ginger ma’am and we have a lady PM who seems like she could kick some serious ass. Like a shower after a big night, all sins are washed away and I can start to feel like the government is back on track.

Something had to happen though, with KRudd back flipping more than a Cirque du Soleil acrobat I could feel that Abbott could be handed the keys to the lodge by default. Call me a pinko tree hugging lefty but it is dangerous to give power to a man who is "threatened" by homosexuality, says gay people challenge "the right order of things", who also has ‘mixed’ feelings about contraception and believes women need to abstain from sex before marriage. This is coming from a man who openly admitted to the possibility he fathered a child out of wedlock back whilst back at university, only to find out the child (20+ year old man now) was not in fact his. The words hypocritical bigoted dinosaur are flashing in my mind like a Kings Cross strip bar sign.

I was already packing my carryon luggage to move to the moon until Julia scampered into my life. Man, she is a firecracker. Anyone who does not think her speech and press conference was impressive is obviously lost in a K Hole cause I was all ready to marry this woman. I guess time is going to tell here, as there will surely be a honeymoon period but I have feeling this woman will lead Labour to a win later this year. Not only does she have more balls than a stud farm she has a clear idea of what she will and won’t put up with, including a serpentine Tony Abbott or narky journalists.

It is about time Australia has a female PM, this country has been held back by old boys’ network to the detriment of social development. Let’s just hope that the country can advance forward to talk about her policies and direction for the country and not fall for the usual gossip that surrounds female heads of state – endless vapid jabbering about her clothes, sexual orientation, make up choices and if the curtains match the drapes.

As a member of the free world I am hoping that in 7 days time we will have this dude as our new leader. It is serious time for a change and after 8 years, two wars, one financial meltdown, one fraudulent election, millions discriminated against/marginalised and thousands killed me and 5+ billion other people on this planet have officially put the US on notice.

As an American friend of mine commented, "The US have a serious PR problem now and if they get this right all is forgiven. if we get is wrong and its the fall of Rome all over again."

I have faith, not just because of the polls , but in the ability of smart people to say enough is enough.

The outgoing Liberal party tried another pretty shameful exercise last night, posting fake materials into a Sydney neighbourhood's letter boxes. The fake leaflets were "from" a made up Islamic organization and Labour, asking for the Bali bomber "Brothers" to be freed. The Liberal party postmen were caught and photographed by The Daily Telegraph. How bloody stupid could you get, it seems that after this and the effort to push the electoral decision in the court (Sound familiar, George Bush, Florida, 2000?) the Liberal Party are grabbing at straws. It feels Prime Minister Howard's time is up, Kevin 07 is kicking his butt and the televised debate last night has highlighted this. Words cannot express how much that midget sports tragic bigoted lier needs to go away now. This country needs a new and more modern global-minded leadership, not an blinkered dogmatic xenophobic and dismissive yes man who is a puppet for corporate greed and international imperialism. Ohh my nipples go hard when I talk like this.

I am a bit taken a back by this article on News.com.au here(http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22292944-421,00.html) in Australia. Under pressure to make a choice on drawing legislation to give gay and lesbians the same intrinsic rights as their heterosexual countrymen, John Howard now has the final choice. I am surely not the first person to not hold their breath over this. Howard a self proclaimed christian would rather met with mysterious Australian Sects (which are under investigation for huge cash support to the last Howard election effort see here:http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22287068-5001028,00.html ) over making this important decision on the rights of large section of the population.

I can't believe this is such a "hard" decision, surely its a no brainer to be qualified as "normal" by the greater population. I am personally over having other people decide if I am good enough to be considered worthy of full rights. Admittedly gay men are their own worst enemies sometimes when it comes to fighting stereotypes, but this is no concern to the country. Drug addicts and wife beaters have more rights in regards to family and marriage, than people that happen to be gay. Bigots seem to start their reasoning for resistance with "Some of my best friends are gay but..", this to me makes no sense. If you truly cared for these people you would want them to be happy, fall in love, marry, be able to buy property together and have full government supported benefits as a functional and worthy members of society. Would you truly deny your "good friend" these basic human wants and needs? How would you feel if your rights were taken from you because society deemed your sexual orientation "immoral"? Not too hard to imagine is it..

Masking bigotry in a middle ground glittery wrapping paper is still bigotry. How short peoples memories are, I feel history will judge our generation harshly for the delay and debate over the unalienable rights of people who happen to find solice and love in the same sex.
If you simply google "civil rights of the 1960s" you will see an eerie similarity. How we laugh when we read/hear the racist excuses that were given to not give black people equal rights in the US.
Australia is no better, only giving Aborigines (Australia's 50,000 year old sentient settlers) Australian citizen status in the 60's and this still had to go to a referendum before the landslide victory.

How is this different from the excuses given now. I am sick of the prejudice and stereotyping, sick of chorus lines of "Will somebody think of the children!" and the bollocks that reforms will "blow the budget" from the right wingers.

Stop mucking about, its time to move our society higher and forward, not to be stuck in the bog of indecision, hate and obfuscated bigotry.
